Composition is seemingly the wave of the future especially
for the marching field. I wrote original music for Center
Grove H.S. in 96 where they finished 2nd at BOA grand
nationals. I have since written 2 original shows for
the marching field, one for Blue Valley, KS and another
for Bellevue East, NE.
When people ask about my influences, I tell them Stravinsky,
Reich and Metheny. There is no question that I am drawn to the
efficiency of Reich's music. His harmonic and rhythmic tapestries have been the
inspiration of many experiments of mine. I am turned on by the raw
power and rhythmic tenacity
